Summer Weekly Programs Seasonal Programs
Ocean View Foundation’s summer weekly programs start on June 23rd and run through September 1st. Unless otherwise noted, OVF programs are held at the Ocean View Pavilion.
MONDAYS - 11 am
Nature Walk: Get Your Block Island Bearings
This easy stroll around the Ocean View & Pavilion site will provide an introduction to the Island’s ecosystems and orient you to the compass points of the Island.
TUESDAYS - 8 am
Bird Banding & Naturalist on Site
A bird banding demonstration for all ages - everything you ever wanted to know about birds and more. Come with lots of questions and a sense of wonder.
(This program is cancelled in the drizzle/rain.)
WEDNESDAYS - 10 am
Art & Nature
This program is for everyone (young and old) who wants to see details of the natural world. Paper, drawing utensils, basic art materials, and often, live creatures, will be supplied. You bring the imagination and relaxed expectations.
THURSDAYS - 10 am
Stepping Stones
Help build a stepping stone path to the Pavilion. Each week a new concrete stepping stone will be created--shape, color, texture, and natural ornamentation will vary depending on the whim and imagination of the participants.
FRIDAYS

Meet at Andy's Way parking area on Corn Neck Road for this bird - and other critter - walk. This walk is suited for all skill levels, so bring your binoculars (if you have them) and be prepared to get your feet wet. (The time of this walk varies week-to-week based on the tides.
